the real world is severely overrated. I had heard on www.nwog.org it was V 5.11d A5 but the one time I did it it was more like 5.3 and one shoulder stand. i'm not going back.

I think Oak Island is a combination of high water table and buried tree routes. I honestly dont think a bunch of pirates actually construced something so complex. have they ever brought in archeologists to study it or is it all treasure hunters?
Well if you add my failure on Triple Couloirs then I am 3 for 3 on failed Enchantments trips. And if you take your hidden stash away from Nada lake I might just go 4 for 4.

Some time when the weather is no good for anything but installing a Tyrolean ahead of ice season. (5C and raining)
I climbed this peak on Saturday. From the end of Truax Creek road (2wd) this peak is a hike with a tiny bit of easy scrambling thrown in near the top. Great views of Chicotin country one way, and unclimbed faces, couloirs and so on the other way I could see Jordop's nemesis peak 8380 clearly too
This might curently be the easiest Fairley guide 9000+ foot peak you can climb. Takes 4-5 hours round trip from car with minimal bushwacking (except the part where a sharp stick poked me in the eye.)
I also visited the old Grey Rock mine and found some wicked crystals in the tailings. Went into the mine shaft itself but it was kinda dark and filled with water. I was worried about acid mine drainage so i didn't start wading in case it destroyed my boots.
No snafflehounds or cougars seen Just freshiez
For the benefit of newbies and inexperienced I now rate all 3rd and 4th class scrambles 5.11c so that no newbie attempting to repeat gets in over their head
