quote: Originally posted by Peter Puget: I agree TG, another potentially dangerous thing that I see alot is a racking 'biner on a cam plus a quick draw cliped to the cam and rope. Depending on the placement it seem like it is just more stuff to be getting swcrewed up in case of a load. Better to remove the rackign 'biner. PP Dickie, ? Major peeve cause it takes longer to re rack at each belay and your partner ends up stealing your favorite biner and the color coding of biners and cams gets screwed up [ 10-09-2002, 04:10 PM: Message edited by: Dru ]

Its about Karen having no partners. I see why now "Seriously though" I used to date a girl named Karin who called herself "just a scrambler". She's the only one where I dumped her instead of the other way round

quote: Originally posted by Beck: ... some people think Dru may need some help attempting to define scrambling, Karen!!! I already defined it as Scree Rambling. I was told by one self defined scrambler that a route I described as a "scramble" on bivouac.com was "not a scramble and dangerous" so I dunno what scrambling is I guess. Except for mixing up eggs in a fry pan or what your feet do just before you fall out of an offwidth.

Have done climbing In the Andes but that just isn't where I'm at now. Partly because I lost a friend or two along the way. Im not here to impress people with my abilities.. I am not interestd in verbal BS either.. sorry I asked we're still waiting for you to define scrambling so we know if what you do is safe enough for us or if we'd prefer to rope up for it Please lighten up.... Just make sure whatever memorial is erected is not something that would impale you if you fell off and hit it cause irony is a real bitch in situations like that.
