    Round 1

There were days when I got out of bed even though I would rather not have.... These TRs are cool I will write one upon my return from Smith. It will feature deathly bodylength runouts and tales of debauchery or maybe drinking beer in the rain and spelunkinizing.
  3. How dare you impugn Hello Kitty!
  4. You cant break your leg when you fall off the outside wall of your basement suite while buildering. Neighbours pitbull might getcha though.
  5. hundreds of rug rats and i had to take out all the drug and alcohol references and MEC still complained about the naked bungy jumping pictures.
  6. It doesnt say it was rabid, just "Conditioned to humans and bold"
  7. Why dont you use one of a Shoe? wdeitsch is already using the driller one.
  8. Ya but we are ignoring you because we dont like your avatar, Sherlock.
  9. It reminds me of Chaseabbott and Scottish wanker. Clearly the second most popular avatar after the lil' homey with the shades so beloved of Ryland moore Dlunkman slickrick etc.
  10. Bolts the points to a golf shoe like the cool new wave mixed climbers do
  11. There is no Anderson Range. Just a hoax perpetrated by Canadians on their southern brethren.

  13. Ya it could have I suppose... Id rank that the least likely of the 3 but I suppose it is possible.
  14. OK then, if we eliminate a bounce or differential rope movement cutting the sling, what are we left with? It gets more confusing... Did or could you examine the sling all the way around the block? Now Im wondering if perhaps a had chewed partway through a hidden part of the sling you couldn't see. Or perhaps it was against a sharp edged flake or something??

And I would like to practice making anchors with trad gear if we could come up with a way to do it... inside out side.. where ever. just let me know where and when And I will try to work out being there. Who wants to instruct????? DRU? TEX? ANYONE??? I can say for a fact that GegW makes beautiful anchors maybe he would help out all of us Sling a hot tub? Timm@y??
  16. Ignorance is bliss right? "southern" accent, "New yawk" accent, "Whoa, dude, like gag me with like, a spoon" California accent.....
  17. quote: Originally posted by thelawgoddess: toast, it sounds like you've already done more indoor mini-clinic-ing than i could imagine. i've read long's book and surveyed his pics, but i've never had any real interest in setting up anchors amongst pieces of my furniture. an outdoor hands-on clinic with more opportunity for realistic set-ups (and more so, practicing self-rescue stuff) would be much more appealing ... Setting up anchors in your furniture is a great skill which can be applied both to whiling away tentbound days in the mountains, and bedroom antics involving ropes

  19. You gonna chisel some heads and stack some pins and hook some creaking surfboards and shit in a tube, or does the aid involve clipping up a bolt ladder in the gym?
  20. They tried plastic nuts 15 years ago. No market demand.
  21. You missed out on a primo chance to do that after the slideshow. Reinhold was pretty cool. He bought us all a round and told us about the Yeti.
  22. Did you step down suddenly or make any other 'bouncy' type movement just before you fell? Also, when you say you were handlining down, was the rope through a rap device, or not? Hand line to me sounds like the rope wasnt through your rap device, more like you were just holding it in both hands for balance.

The rock at Smiffy Rox has been hereby designated "tuftytuf" and will remain so until we find an even more appalling name for it. Hey DFA have you ever climbed Squaw Rock or any of those obscure pinnacles off in the distance there??
