  1. You ever see these form up before Don? Right above Williamson Lake, looks to be some nice 100- 150m WI2s and 3's. Avvy hazard from above was minimal today. (with our long handled mtneering axes we regretfully wandered by on way up SE face of Welch)
  2. 2 hours plus climbing. (1 hr longer than going via Coquihalla plus 1 hr up and down oregon Jack road) But why not just stop in Golden & climb something in Kicking Horse the next AM instead of bee lining to Canmore?
  3. Infinite Preiss.
  4. This is the type of service that's easy to give when your sales are low and hard to give when your sales are high.

  7. Oh wait this is on south face of Intersection right. I was thinking of the 5.8 chimney on Intersection Rock. I just looked it up in the guide now... "The Flake 5.8" route # 1225. Dude you gotta get the #4 bigBro for Jt Ree chimneys.
  8. I always thought it was called the SW Face Chimney or something.
  9. Just load it into the Gallery http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab instead of via attachments.
  10. I make little squeaking noises when I am about to fall off. My friend AMC was really vocal at this "Ok...falling..take..no wait, I'm gonna try it...sending..falling..take..don't take...oh my god... I'm gonna die..take...No! Wait! I've got it!... Oh shit! Take!" etc.
  11. It';s funny you posted that at 4:20 PM yesterday
  12. Apparently Distel's Joe's Valley guide is a good place to find glass.
  13. Well I was thinking of last New Years. There was nothing in, in Hope, when we drove up on Wednesday, and when we came down on Sunday afternoon, after 5 days of cold, stuff was in: Bridal Falls, Medusa, Mousetrap, Sumallo, Seabird etc. I was just trying to decide if this forthcoming cold outbreak means its worth staying home and enjoying rare good conditions instead of making a planned Rockies trip. Think the Rockies are guaranteed though, so that's where I will be.
  14. Doesn't "Drawstrings" have another name?
  15. Lots of birthdays today it looks like. Of course with 7000 registered users and 365 days in the year that is not unexpected.
  16. I believe the "Other Person" may be Matt from the UK. I would have to find the 1994 VOCJ to tell you Matt's last name though.
  17. ok don but...the $24, 000 question...based on your extensive experience... how long does it take between arctic outbreak and climbable ice, say, in hope? seems like about 4 or 5 days.
  18. You "think"?
  19. Isn't that Uncle Tricky's dog
  20. Grenodder? Look out, those things can explode. Sure can, Nodder.
  21. Sir Elton John says that when he sees snow-covered Alpine mountains it reminds him of wilder drug-fuelled days as a young musician. "When I fly over the snow-covered Alps, all I think about is the 'snow' that I once took," he told German magazine Neon, explaining that the word snow is often used as a synonym for cocaine. The 57-year-old pop star said he took "a lot" of cocaine when he was younger. "Somebody once calculated that I spent 70 million dollars every 20 months in the 80s. What for? Amongst other things cocaine." Source: Ananova
  22. The experimental tunnel at Index. What REALLY goes on in there? Huge unclimbed faces that Beckey never attempted. Tunnels under the border in a certain rural community northeast of Bellingham Oregon granite other than the Wallowas.
