And just about 2km south of the Sailor Bar area the Water Music area is found above the road at a prominent bend. Water Music and Under The Big Top are 3 pitch wi5s. In this photo Water Music is visible at left. Under The Big Top cuts up a hidden gully to finish under the huge roof at right. Note for bob the potential continuation out the roof and up the ice above is unclimbed.

The sunlit line left of the arete dropping off the summit has already been skiied by the Whistler posse. To get the beer you have to ski the shadowed face just right of the central arete.

The highways suck through the Fraser Valley right now. If you are hoping to go ice climbing, you'll have better luck getting to your ice climbs with a Taun Taun than with an SUV.

Hozomeen N has already had a winter ascent, and in the winter it is easier to approach via Manning Park anyways.

Re: the biner brake, the more biners, the more friction. it can be hard to control a one-biner biner brake setup like you describe. good way to make an uncontrolled descent. agreed with pax cutting up a mammut sling is one of the dumbest things you could possibly do. not to mention cutting spectra without the special tool is rather difficult!
