  1. Met Allison for the first time, ran into "The Law Goddess" , and heard that "To The Top" and "Jerry Sanchez" were there climbing in their plastics.

Jerry sent the 12c in Koflachs on lead that Clarke put up!

    Nicely done!

  2. Lambone said "I heard from a friend of a friend who said that his friend told him that his partners ex-girlfriends brothers freind went up there and said the ice was too thin. Then again...he was also a friend of Scot'teryx...so take report that with a grain of salt. "

Wow, sounds like I have more friends then Lamb Boner!

  3. Now if that happens I would HAVE to come

That's right around the corner from cascade crags

maybe do a "cascade climbers day" at cascade crags where all you have to do is dress up like your avatar and you get a free day pass. smile.gif

Unfortunately I have school on weekedays till 8pm, but I would show up afrerwards bigdrink.gif

  4. Jerry Sanchez was in that group, and he came out safe and sound. Really scary to hear about an organized group going out in the backcountry during "considerable danger" conditions.

With the recent history of wind, loading of the slopes, and all the snow that has dumped, it really makes me ask way too many questions. A tragic accident, my condolences to the family. I hope alot can be learned from this, I know I did.

  5. we drove all the way up the road until 1/4 mile before the TH in his new toyota TRD which really kicks ass. Locking rear differential really helps, but a newer subaru made it up after we made trail on the road.

We stuck pretty much to the regular trail until we got above the slide alder, and traversed some slopes which had already slid, really icy wind blown slabs. From there we headed up towards Sibley Pass staying on the left side of the slope

  6. how was the skiing? Is it worth doing?

Not that good, the avy conditions were marginal, with 1.5 feet of powder, and a 1.5 foot icy base, and on top of that was about 2 inches of windblown crust.

Turns were hard to control with that crust, but sergio and craig were boarding so it wasn't as bad for them as it was for Jerry and I

I would not go back up until conditions get better

I did hear that green mountain was nice this weekend
