Skied Saint Helens on Saturday, hardly anyone was up there. Had the summit to ourselves and had a good ski down to the parking lot (almost all the way, dry trail and pavement the last 1/4 mile)

Went to Erie on Wednesday and had a blast down at orange wall, really cold that day though so the rock was freaking frozen. Green Tangerine (10b) has a wet start right now, so it seems like a 10d start to get around that wet streak. Gator (10a) the far left route is freakin cool, nice easy boulder start to a high bolt, and then it gets a little thin, and then the overhang is a sweet stemmy section. The 10c to the right of it looks like a real nice line as well. good times

Met Allison for the first time, ran into "The Law Goddess" , and heard that "To The Top" and "Jerry Sanchez" were there climbing in their plastics. Jerry sent the 12c in Koflachs on lead that Clarke put up! Nicely done!

La Sportiva Lhotse, Boreal Super Latok, or Kayland
scot'teryx replied to scot'teryx's topic in The Gear Critic
They were a size too big, they were clunky, heavy, and I just disliked them. I got away with using my eigers both times up rainier this year, and just need a touch more warmth - plus the eigers blew out in December -
La Sportiva Lhotse, Boreal Super Latok, or Kayland
scot'teryx replied to scot'teryx's topic in The Gear Critic
scot'etzl says La Sportivas fit my foot very well, and from what I have read, the Kaylands are built for narrow, low volume feet as well The Revolutions are too much money for this guy -

scarpa what? the freney's? -
Has anyone had any of these boots? Im replacing my Koflach Degree Plastics since I despise them so much I want something warm, good support, and very water repellent. I really want to get the Kaylands, but I am not sure about the insulation factor, waiting for an email back from the company..... thanks

Lambone said "I heard from a friend of a friend who said that his friend told him that his partners ex-girlfriends brothers freind went up there and said the ice was too thin. Then again...he was also a friend of Scot'teryx...so take report that with a grain of salt. " Wow, sounds like I have more friends then Lamb Boner!
