I don’t think I deviated much for the standard approach, if at all. I think I may have the tracks, I believe I have my trip on Strava. Im glad I did it, but I was super worried about Kiba going up and coming down. Perhaps only for a short section, but it was stressful. I’m definitely by far not the only person to take my dog up there, and after this I got Kiba a proper climbing harness. Just fyi. But happy to share whatever I got.

Thanks for replies. Abject failure on our first attempt. Turns out moving quickly up and down that rock is harder than we imagined. Especially coming off Middle Sister towards South. Took way longer than we thought to get down. Limped into Camp Lake and laughed at the thought of climbing South. 8 miles back to Pole Creek was easier. Will try again next year. Either in July when there's more snow or September when its a little cooler. Fun, but brutal day in the mountains.

He hiked over from Squire Creek Pass, with much brutal bushwhacking, and dropped down to that face. Upon returning he told David, "It's dirty." Now I know he was right!
