From Summitpost.com:

"Those of us privileged to reside in the Pacific NW live in the most diverse, historic and best climbing area in the USA. Summit Post.com is the best worldwide Mountain/rock climbing sites in the world -bar none. People from around the world are tuning in to this site (check out the diversity of listings). The site is world class.

Why then does a temporary, goof ball, spray spewing site like XXX Climber.com get so much more local news traffic than a world class site like Summit Post.com-Pacific NW (WA.OR)?? As well, The Mountaineers.com web site is excellent, but only for listings of future trips/outings. The format of SummitPost.com sets the stage for a better experience in terms of learning about world ranges, route descriptions, viewing great pictures, news, better moderators and so on: Bottom line it’s the best site out there.

How can we make “Our” site, the site of a serious worldwide climbing community, better for late breaking climbing news? If you have any suggestions on how to better affiliate this forum (local N.W. news) to local climbers, please let the web master in on your idea.

This is the best sight going given the level of maturity/professionalism here vs., the passing goofiness elsewhere. Those of us privileged to reside in the Pacific NW live in the most diverse, historic and best climbing area in the USA. Dare they question the clinical seriousness and steely resolve of the members of this web forum? Have we not met the spectre of defeat head-on, fought hard through torrents of spray and slander, through bad times and good, to finally drink heartily from the golden trough of victory? Verily, brothers and sisters, is not the very name of this site (not "sight," you'll note) indicative of our penchant for action, our thirst for conquest? What, indeed, is a "summitpost?" A pressure-treated 4x4 marking the apex of a hill? A passive reminder of the static status quo? Bollocks, says this Doctor. A pox on the firstborn of their hellspawned digital monument to panty-waisted twittering. Let them rot on their couches, in their easy-chairs, behind their ever-glowing computer monitors. We, the undisputed royalty of PacNW outdoor recreation, the sultans of salubrious spray, WE shall show those pitiful pissants what is what and who is whom, or die trying.

Oh, yeah. Summitpost.com is SUCH a great resource. Their message board is like a funeral home. I posted a response about 15 minutes ago and that was the last thing posted. What does cc.com get? 3-5 per minute?

Word, Powell Peralta all the way!

Fuck, instead of a pub club, we oughta have a PDX old skool skate night. Head down to the walkway by the waterfront on the East site with some 40s and a boom box blaring Minor Threat. Levi's jackets and Vans checkerboard slip-ons optional but encouraged.
