kevino Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Trip: Ski touring in Grad school - all over the PNW Date: 5/20/2013 Trip Report: This past fall I moved Spokane to continue PA school at UW. Previously I had a very flexible work schedule (8 days off in a row) and was living at Alpental. But now I am a weekend warrior and in class 9 hours everyday with numerous evening and weekend clinics, workshops, etc. Needless to say, I was a bit worried about my skiing opportunities this winter. Thankfully I met some great new ski partners and got to explore lots of new areas in the PNW that I would have probably never been to otherwise. Here are some pictures from my past winter. All pictures by me, Kevin Oberholser, unless otherwise noted. DRep Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Nice pics brother man! Careful, the fact that you did all that while attending PA school full time is going to make some desk jockeys very depressed. Quote

telemarker Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Great Report Kevin O! You're a busy guy. Are you still interning at CWH? Quote
murse11 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 The Mantana photos make me super envious. Care to share the beta on that zone? If you're interning at CWH it'd be cool to meet you, I have a nursing gig there. Quote
Pete_H Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Nice Kev. All the hard work will pay off soon. Hopefully we can get out one of these days. Quote
kevino Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 John/Pete/murse: As of my last meeting, it sounds like I'll still be doing a bunch of clinical rotations in the Wenatchee and Chelan area, most likely jan-june time frame. murse: The Mission Mountains are N of missoula, outside of St. Ignatus. The westside is Indian land so it requires a permit, which can be purchased at the town's gas station. Takes a healthy climb to get into the range. Let me know if you have questions. Quote
