StevenBaker Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 First off I am oh so very sorry if this is in the wrong place. Second I apologize if there is a thread for this some other place, I could find one. SO... Why is there not a "climbing gym" in Bellingham? I know that the Y has a wall and so does WWU but why is there not a dedicated climbing gym? Was there at some point? Has it just not happened yet? (maybe someone is working on it?) It seems there would be plenty enough interest in the area right? Please help fill me in. Thanks SB Quote

StevenBaker Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 OK then, guess I will stop writing up my own business proposal and cancel all those investor meetings. So how can I help out? Quote
Whatcomboy Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) We had a climbing wall combined with a kids gymnastics thing a few years back but it wasn't very good. Looking at the gallery pics of this new outfit coming to town looks pretty upscale for da Ham. Might have to wash my car. Edited April 12, 2013 by Whatcomboy Quote
ivan Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 reckon most b-ham clamberers are too busy porking their sisters when in town - climbing's for when their regular boy-friends come over and chase you outta town Quote
glassgowkiss Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 There is already a nice bouldering gym in town (or just outside). It's private, on need to know basis. Quote
mountainsandsound Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Might have to wash my car. I am starting to grow some cool moss varieties on the old '91 loyale wagon. Washing would ruin the Whatcom County vibe. I heard rumors there were plans to put in a climbing gym a few years ago in the old sunshine liquidators building, but somehow that never materialized.
