Alex
I've never led it to the first bolt, always stick clipped. though this particular method is new and novel...
jon
I don't even see the cheeseburger. Is it out of frame on top?
JoeR
Isn't it the 3rd bolt that gives the potential groundfall if you try to clip too far above your head and blow it?
selkirk
Isn't it the 3rd bolt that gives the potential groundfall if you try to clip too far above your head and blow it? First time I climbed BBQ I led it from the ground up . Still don't know what the hell I was thinking at the time. It helped that my belayer/spotter was 6' 6" and that once I was 10 feet up no way in hell was I down climbing! Every time since then it was either stick clip or climb New Testament and get the bolt on rap
flashclimber
I usually tie two stick clips together and clip the anchors. That way I feel at ease when I climb. Seriously, that is such a great picture. I'm thinking about making it my screen saver.
