oyale
Looking for a climbing partner for Nisqually Glacier and/or Liberty Ridge sometime in March. I'm a pretty competent, experienced, and fit mountaineer. Easy to get along with, etc. etc.
smithxrandy
Climbed only on vancouver island, delving deeper into alpinism and Rainier is on my to do list. No real glacier experience but I am well educated in crevasse rescue. Great shape and ambitious. Would be transiting from Vancouver
NikolaiBlaze
I'd be looking to do maybe Nisqually and maybe an Ingraham direct route for a summit if you're down.
WildBlue
I'm interested. It seems like Liberty Ridge would be a hard approach with the north side roads closed in the winter. But either Nisqually or Ingraham sound good to me.

Man, I was really happy when those skiers stopped us for a safety meeting.
TRoth
haha. So are you talking about up through Muir and DC head wall? Or try and take a direst S line up Nisqually? I played around On lower Nisqually, ice climbing in crevasses. very cool area

But either Nisqually or Ingraham sound good to me. The ID was in in March last year, that changed in late May however... White River road didn't open to the CG until like May 27 or 28th?... Could be different this year but probably not much different if at all. Going from the WR CG to Schurman was a long slog in early June last year. Wonder how many miles would add from the closure to Schurman... No, I don't wanna know... d

Alex
The approach from Ipsut Creek isnt so bad, if you have some extra days. You break out into skiable/skinnable terrain after perhaps 4? miles of relatively low el hiking. I did this in April 1995 and I remember the trip as being pretty pleasant.
