Frankazoid Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 cool. I think silent running (7th pitch included) will be what we do. Gracias Quote
genepires Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Hey frank name these walls! Â no fair. your 8th picture doesn't match up with the other photos in location. Quote
Frankazoid Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Hanman- nice. Shapp, not quite sure since I havent been to the D area. If I had to guess i'd say the first 7 are spring mtn. area? with the eighth photo being SQW? I havent seen photos of SQW so it really is a guess. Quote
rocketparrotlet Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I'm looking for some Darrington partners for this summer...none of my normal partners really want to go there for some reason. I'd love to check out some of these walls I haven't been to, like the Comb Buttresses and perhaps Dark Rhythm on Exfoliation Dome. Anyone interested? Â -Mark Quote
rocketparrotlet Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) Â Looks Index-like...also, what model of shoes are these in the picture? I have a pair that I got used and I want another one. Great slab shoes. Edited May 13, 2011 by rocketparrotlet Quote
Frankazoid Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 LS muiras are my favorite slab shoe. They do have some sporty down turn but I feel they edge and smear like a champ. Most comforable all-day shoe for me. Quote

Also, I just had them resoled, and they are stiffer than before, unfortunately... Quote
Riley81 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 You trickster Shapp thats not D-town AT ALL. Thats the wonderful Spring Mt. BTW Spring was still wet as of 05/16/11. Hanman and I were out there and climbed his new pitch just left of Vitamin R. Definite 3 star 10+ climb. Just make sure to wait for the water fall to die down a bit or face the Wrath of a wet start. Regarding D-town Total soul is a fine multipitch outing that is just left of Silent running. And given the limitied access as of late three o'clock rock might be the best bet for a single day outing. D-Town ROCKS Quote
shapp Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I consider Spring Mt. part of the greater D-town area, although the climbing is pretty different than at the Clear Creek or Squire creek areas. Quote
hanman Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Classic Springy Matt!! Â I had almost erased that finest of FAs from my mind's eye. Â Thank you! Â MH Quote
