allthumbs Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 I've found that the wand pocket on my Khamsim 38 is too small to hold the fifth of scotch I like to bring. I was thinking of modifying the pocket. Do you think that would void the warranty? Thanking you all in advance. Quote
Bronco Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 It seems like a precarious place for a glass container, I would wrap it up in an extra set of socks and put it inside your pack. Although that kind of interferes with regular rationing Is it a possibility you switch to Jim Beam while you are climbing? If so, you could get 2 of those plasic traveler bottles which are smaller than a fifth and it would fit in your wand pocket and it's unbreakable. Quote
Dru Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 Buy the "emergency fuel flask" from MEC next time you are up here. Quote
philfort Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 Could you get one of those spouts they have at bars, screw it into the bottle, and hook a camelbak-type tube to it? What am I doing!? I can't believe I'm recommending a tube-based (de)hydration system!? Quote
Beck Posted December 17, 2001 Posted December 17, 2001 Bronco, those Jim Beam traveller flasks are 375ml, a fifth of booze and are made out of a more durable plastic than a gatorade bottle. Quote
