ptownclimber Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Any good recommendations on treatment/recovery? I'm talking about chronic inside (lateral?) tendonitis. I've been resting, done physical therapy, wrist brace, etc. I'm trying acupuncture now. Anything else that has worked for people? Quote
Sol Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 bromelain as a supplement regular icing arnica gel hydro-contrast therapy (2 min hot, 30 sec cold, 3-5 rounds, end on cold) most importantly is to balance the muscles: push-ups, dips, reverse wrist curls, etc... Quote
tomtom Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Forget the pseudo-science and quackery. Read this: Dodgy elbows Quote
porter Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 the exercises in the dodgy elbows article worked for me after about 2 months. definitely recommended. Quote
JoshK Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I've been cursed with Elbow pain for a few years now. I had to lay off any sort of climbing for a while it got so bad. I read the dodgy elbows article the other day and it seemed to describe and identify the specific pain better than anything I'd come across before. I'm going to start the exercise plan he recommends as well and hope for the best. Quote
Jens Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Ski Mountaineering and slogging Volcanoes is your best cure. Wrap the rock shoes up in ziploc bags and put away the fruit boots and ice tools. Quote
