MarkMcJizzy Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Just got done looking at a bunch of Frank Tarvers photographs of the second ascent of Lost Arrow Chimney, done by himself, Bob Swift and Warren Harding in 1953. Frank says it took them four days. Their pin rack only went to 3/4". The coolest photographs were Warrens Jag. Quote
Dane Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Mark you should be beat'in to a bloody pulp I'll buy the beer next time we meet and you can share the story. Quote
MarkMcJizzy Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) A most misleading thread title. No it's not. Full TR I got in my truck, and stopped by Best Friends Espresso. Went up through Lake Forest Park, and down into Richmond Beach. I stopped at Tweedy and Pops, and got parts for John's crutches. Went in to visit John, and said hi to Frank. The bolts I bough were too short, so John and I went back to Tweedy and Pops. While we were gone, Frank dug out his old photographs, and showed them to John and I. I told him he should post them on ST. Maybe John can get some of his old Cascade photographs of climbing with Joe Firey posted here Edited January 28, 2010 by MarkMcJizzy Quote

Concur, big time misleading post: but as an alternative to helping kick Marks ass, maybe we can help him or Frank to scan all this and then drink the beer while we revel in the photo greatness. There are plenty of archivists who would dig the hell out of preserving them for a museum. Quote
