mtnhippy Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Does anyone have a reliable recommendation for getting a pair of Baruntse liners thermo-molded in Portland? Thanks. Quote
slogon Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) I'd check with the Mountain Shop. They did some work on my plastic climbing boot shells and heat molded my Intuition liners. Don't know about Baruntse liners but I imagine they would. Edit: Actually was Oregon Mountain Community, but probably either would be good. Edited December 24, 2009 by slogon Quote
marcus Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 The Mountain Shop does have a heat moulder as well... Quote
Dane Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 So who is the best ski boot fitter in Portland? Quote
denalidave Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Not too far from PDX/Mt Hood... This guy - Bob Olsen - used to be out of Parkdale, OR but looks like he is in Hood River now. He does a great job. Last pair he did for me was $25 for heat molding liners, if I remember correctly, but that was a couple years ago. Quote
rbw1966 Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I have always had real good service at the Mountain Shop. Quote
mtnhippy Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Didn't make it to PDX but talked with the guys at Berg's Ski Shop here in town and they did a great job. Time to get the Baruntses on a mountain for a test drive! Edited December 30, 2009 by mtnhippy Quote
