Off_White Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Jesus fuck, I've never looked at that site before, it looks as funny as The Onion and just as believable. Quote
prole Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Bush probably feared that his visit might spur more shootings. Quote

Too bad our current joke of a president doesn't care enough to stop by. Guess he's worried such a visit would upset his fellow 'believers'. Quote

And open himself to criticism of cynically seeking a photo-op? The Right's already decided who has the capacity for emotion and who can legitimately express it. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) Predictable omission: Â Obama was at Dover giving full military honors to those killed for the better part of an entire night...most of it off camera. Â I'd say your post says more about your poverty of spirit than Obama's. Â Edited November 8, 2009 by tvashtarkatena Quote
Fairweather Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Show me the link. I found nothing but his unrelated visit to Walter Reed on Friday. So are you saying they flew the dead and wounded to Dover? Again; show me the link. I'd say your post demonstrates more about the power of Obama's cult-following than any current reality. Quote
olyclimber Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 there is no link. it was so secret that no one knew about it. Quote
Fairweather Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 there is no link. it was so secret that no one knew about it. Â Except TTK. Quote
Fairweather Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Geeeez, I leave for six weeks and TTK gets even dumber! Quote
Fairweather Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) Still nothing. Conclusion: TTK knows the event he is referring to happened last week at Dover--before the terrorist attack at Fort Hood--to honor those killed in Afghanistan. TTK has no clue. prole Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 the power of Obama's cult-following than any current reality. Â Cult? Look no further than the comment boards on these articles. It's hard to tell if the respondents are invoking the name of the Lord or think that George W. Bush is Christ himself. And since when did the main occupation of the President become Comforter In Chief? Is he (or she) to be our National Griever, jetting from one disaster to another, holding and patting people, offering heartfelt condolences and words of support? The commenters on these articles would suggest that doing so is far more important than crafting legislation that would actually improve peoples' lives and might offer some real tangible support to people in need. More evidence of the ongoing infantilization of America... Â Quote
prole Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Yes, Bush was great at rushing in to hug the victims of his policies. What a wonderful legacy, what grace... Quote
Fairweather Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 No. But it is beginning to seem like Obama is a little too comfortable with Islam. "Uhhhh, Let's not jump to any conclusions here folks." Quote
prole Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 No. But it is beginning to seem like Obama is a little too comfortable with Islam. "Uhhhh, Let's not jump to any conclusions here folks." Â Still bummed that your folks' "shovel-ready" project was rejected? Â Quote
Fairweather Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Sorry, but concentration camps are "your people's" gig... Â Â Quote
