Pilchuck71 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Anyone have any issues with the C4 soles delaminating at the heel? After only about a month of use mine are coming apart. Quote
G-spotter Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Yes, they are not the most durable. Stop wearing them around town and save them for long days of fast and light climbing. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Awh suck! But they make me run faster! Quote
froodish Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I've beat a pair around for more than a year and they're holding up just fine. Seems like that's a bit hit and miss though - I've had some of the approach shoes delam. They always seemed pretty good about taking defective ones back, have you talked to the place where you purchased them? Quote
Crillz Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 My last pair did that on the heal. Wasn't a big problem - just looks stupid if it matters to you. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 (edited) I was thinking about just trimming the peeled tab off to eliminate it getting caught on something and pulling more of the sole away. Then again I could plaster it with some shoe-goo. As far as looking stupid that is pretty normal for me so I can deal. Edited October 16, 2009 by Pilchuck71 Quote
LostCamKenny Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Yes, they are not the most durable. Stop wearing them around town and save them for long days of fast and light climbing. Wear mine everyday - climb in them, too! Everyday for the past 13 months and they still make it up the crag. Very durable IMO, but I also like the VX Daecents... Quote
RuMR Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 i wore mine through and Ramuta resoled them...seem totally fine right now... Quote
Kletterhund Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I have had several pairs ... The old versions were lame - had two pairs practically fall apart after very few km. The later models seem much better - on my second pair and they seem to hold up much better. Course I just got a pair of Gandalfs ... Verdict still out but they sure fit my feet well ... Quote
