Cpt.Caveman
Lots of mountains not far from Squamish. But damn the rock climbing up there is pretty good. Crack and DrJay and Ehmmic and DaveW should be there now.

Popular nowadays. Some nice pitchs and some "slog through them" type pitches. For good fun start up Rock On.

thelawgoddess
what's the 5.9 a0 pitch involve? i've yet to do any aid climbing ...
Dru
it will involve typical sport climber techniques like dogging and pulling on bolts that's what A0 is - FRENCH FREE
mattp
"the crux moves on p. 10 can be avoided by pulling on the bolts"
thelawgoddess
cool. so, who wants to climb this with me sunday or monday?
Cpt.Caveman
Ropegun the entire route then Dru and I will follow. I'll be visiting canyucker land and we might have the time.
thelawgoddess
is that a challenge? i can lead 5.9.
Cpt.Caveman
I am not challenging you. Have fun. I guess since Dru already did it he wont want to. Probably climb harder than I do. Â I'll be the one dirtbaggin it in the gutter by the parking lot. Hungover
fern
McLane apparently proclaimed the route overbolted and john Howe lamented that the bolting was 'saggy' (i.e. you can sag on the bolts at the cruxes) ... With accolades like that it is an instant classic.
thelawgoddess
the last four times i went to squamish i had at least a couple of people rave to me about this route. apparently it's already a classic!
Cpt.Caveman
You might as well move to Squamish. I think I have been rock climbing there 3 times ever.
