Cpt.Caveman Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 Some people seem to think this site is for humor and fun. Others for information on routes. Others use it to meet new partners and people. Little does it matter what we want it to be. It will in fact be a mix of the above if you like it or not as it has since the beginning.. It is simply a place for climbers to meet and discuss whatever may be on their minds. Many people think it should serve solely one purpose or another.. What do you think?... Quote
Jman Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 I think this site is solely for the purpose of Capt Cavey to vent his frustrations... sort of like an anger-(mis)management tool. [This message has been edited by Jman (edited 07-17-2001).] Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted July 17, 2001 Author Posted July 17, 2001 It definitely is Jman hahahha. My new trademark is the red scruffy face. Quote
Lambone Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 All of the above Cavey... It only gets lame when people get really pissed off. Then its time to step away from the screen and chill out. Go climbin' or somethin'. Quote
jblakley Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 While we're at it lets give thanks to the big guys. No not your petty little gods..Jon and Tim. I've gotten to know both of these cats (especially Jon) over the past few months and both are very cool guys who do this out of their own passion for climbing. That and somebody (The Caveman?) told them both that chicks really dig web geeks <snicker>. Jon was up till two this morning debuggin stuff so you guys can slam each other. So give it up..Jon and Tim everyone!!! There Jon was that good enough? Quote
Jman Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 (Sorry, I meant to originally post this using Cavey's pet link: http://toy.thespark.com/burn - took me a while to find it again.) ...so it should have read more like: "." <sigh> There. Now, don't we all feel better? Out of courtesy to our more sensitive readers, this message has been self-censored. If you wish to view it... well, you can figure it out. willstrickland Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 That Homie character looks disturbingly like the Christopher character from the Sopranos...hmmm the 7-11 Mafia? The slurpee posse? The Big Gulp crew? Yes, folks, I'm bored again (or boring as the case may be) Quote
Dru Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 This site is designed to release the harmful spray pressure in a safe environment instead of in some place like a van on a road trip where an instantaneous spray blowout can cause a beating or incite your driver to laugh so hard she pees herself and wipes out the van into a barn full of free range turkeys. All hail Jon and Tim the enablers of this! Quote
jblakley Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 Saaayyy Baby..wunna see ma rack? d-elvis has left the building.... Quote
specialed Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 This site is to kill time at work and occasionally get some useful beta on fun routes to do and places to ski. Quote
Jman Posted July 18, 2001 Posted July 18, 2001 Oh, yeah... and push buttons. (not necessarily the ones on the keyboard). Quote
