selkirk Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I'd like to break into leading 5.9 Definitely doable! Leading 5.9 is all about headspace, if you can keep calm, manage your fear, and focus on your footwork you'll be golden! Are you shooting for 5.9 trad, sport, or both? Some good stuff out at Vantage, and Tieton that will be in till the end of October Quote
TeleRoss Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Astroman, NIAD, other cool stuff in the Valley Quote
marylou Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Summer is not over. I plan to reclaim those two weekends of rain in Augvember next month. September is such an awesome time to get out. Quote
AlpineK Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I think it's still summer, and I had a really cool day today. I went out to E38 for some climbing. After thinking about things and how I was doing I decided to step up my pace. I picked out 3 pitches of climbing. They were only 5.6, but the most important thing is I lead 3 pitches today. They were sport routes and only a wimpy 5.6, but it's still a big deal for me and another milestone. Next thing you know I'll be doing easy trad routes and harder sport routes. I haven't been excited about leading 5.6 since I was 16. Quote

Sherri Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Hoping that the fall season will make up for the totally suck summer. Index tomorrow, Squamish next weekend (with Smith as a back up) Smith the following weekend, PDX for the Ice tool comp the weekend after that, and hopefully keep rolling in the Desert until it's too cold to climb and Ski season kicks off Personally I'm a big fan of the drugs i'm on the moment! They certainly stoke me delusions I'm right on your heels, Mr.! Same itinerary:Index on Sunday, Squish next weekend, Smith or Leavenworth after that, then Roped Up in Oct, and off to the Desert in November.... Great minds think alike, they say. Maybe see you out there tomorrow(I'll be around the GNS at Index) Quote
