fenderfour
Today was gorgeous in the Icicle. Yeah, wtf is up with that? Wasn't it supposed to be all crappy on sunday? Saturday we were rained out after 3 pitches. Climb 3 pitches, drink beer for 3 hours, climb 2 more pitches, dinner, sleep, climb all day Sunday. everyfrog
yeah saturday was crap but sunday it cleared up just enough around the southern end of hood canal to hit the cliffs near lake cushman mid afternoon to early evening. it was a little misty and we cursed it but we never got a downpour. the only bad thing about the whole outing was the oly moss i took on the last climb. Sunday dawned bright and sunny. Don't believe the hype!

TREETOAD
Jebus Christ!! take your dog out for a walk in the rain. Throw on a bit of that expensive gore and get the fuck out there. It is water for gods sake not acid. We live in a RAIN forest. That is what makes this the most beautiful place on earth. Quit whining and show some spine, throw on the wellingtons and go jump in some puddles! You only have one life to live, don't spend it whining about the rain. DO IT!!! jmace
We live in a RAIN forest. And thats becoming a major fucking problem... AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SEATTLE WA 900 AM PDT MON JUN 18 2007...CORRECTED LONG TERM...PREVIOUS DISCUSSION FOLLOWS...AFTER A BREAK FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE WEEK...COOLER AND DAMPER WEATHER WILL RETURN TO THE NORTHWEST. THE EVERGREEN STATE IT IS. GENERAL IDEA IS THAT LARGE UPPER TROUGH EDGES INSIDE 140W WEST...CLOSE ENOUGH TO AFFECT OUR WEATHER WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...THEN THE LOW PASSES ACROSS THE REGION THIS WEEKEND. OVERALL...NOT A GREAT WEEKEND FOR TENTING. MODELS CONSISTENT ENOUGH WITH THE GROSS FEATURES THAT THERE IS FAIRLY GOOD CONFIDENCE IN OVERALL IDEA OF COOLER THAN NORMAL WITH ABOVE NORMAL CHANCES OF SHOWERS THROUGH SUNDAY. DETAILS AT THIS RANGE ARE LACKING SO CAN'T PIN DOWN SHOWER TIMING. AS IS ALWAYS THE CASE WITH THIS TYPE OF SITUATION THERE WILL BE DECENT DRY PERIODS TOSSED IN THERE BETWEEN TIMES OF SHOWERS. SO WHEN ONE OF THOSE DRY PERIODS SHOWS UP...GET BACK TO THE LAWN. CERNIGLIA
