EddieE
I just read this in the paper: Canada is proposing to capture 25 grizzlies and release them in the North Cascades this fall. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/134308493_griz20m.html Thanks - I look forward to running into one of them and their young. mikeadam
Is there going to be a hunting season on those then? That way I won't have to drive to Alaska or BC to shoot me some vittles....

Dru
Actually I think we are exporting them to Memphis. The Vancouver Grizzlies are now the Mwemphis Grizzlies! Good riddance to those bad news bears and that fat sack of shit Big Country Reeves. You guys can shoot and eat him all you want.
Cpt.Caveman
Grizzly Jerky is killer. I could use another rug for the living room as well. Nothing like the feeling of conquering animals....

Teogo
The definition of wilderness: You just entered the food chain, but not at the top.
nolanr
Right on Teogo. Boy, it just gives me warm fuzzies knowing all these Bwana the Great White Hunter wannabes are lurking around. Hey, guys, do something more useful, shoot a cow or a sheep if you absolutely have to blow the head off of something.
Cpt.Caveman
The problem with those types of domestic food animals is they are boring and offer no interesting hunting targets.
Tod
With all of the testosterone running through this website I am surprised that people would be so against the reintroduction of Grizzlies. Nothing like adding a bit of real wilderness to the North Cascades. Or maybe we should just add a few more roads to make access a bit more civilized.... How about a road up to the base of Fury....? Way to go Canada! To bad the politicians in the US are easily persuaded by money from loggers, ranchers, miners, and outfitters and can't see the Wilderness for what it is, wild beauty that should be preserved. Alright, alright, I’ll get off my soapbox. Just don't throw anything... Tod
mikeadam
Gee, you guys all sound SOOOOO politically correct. The last I checked Colin Powell was back in office somewhere. Let's all sing the bleeding heart theme song 3 times and then head off to Sacramento for sensitivity training.
specialed
Canada's record is way worse than ours as far as exploiting natural resources in wilderness areas. Or maybe they just have more wilderness areas to exploit?

Mike_Buker
So, wouldn't a REAL American man kill the bear with his bare hands? Only a pussy needs a gun. I'm happy to introduce a species that makes backpacking a 5.2 YDS experience.
