tvashtarkatena
I only have one baseball anecdote. While working for a summer at a lumber mill, I made the mistake of accepting an invitation from one of the sawyers to go to a double header. The A's were playing, I believe. As he devoured beer after beer from his well stocked cooler, I spent the better part of a full day thinking of ways to kill myself with the plastic knife I found on my seat to gain relief from a depth of boredom that, previously, I could not have fathomed even existed. I still have flashbacks whenever I hear or see a game on TV, but they're the type of flashbacks where the flash bulb doesn't even go off. Mr_Phil
At the Safe you are outside! Over half a billion dollars to watch millionaires throw a ball around? You're fucked. So are the Washington taxpayers.

ivan
why pay to see millioniares? baseball is baseball, and watching high school is just as fun (though aluminimum bats do sound sillier) i find most folks who dislike watching baseball didn't like playing it - i loved the game as a kid - nothing in the world like running down a ball hit to deep center i agree climbing is better - but it's not a team experience really hockey looks like it would have been awesome to play as a kid
