Perhaps that's why it's a relatively new phenomenon from an evolutionary standpoint, available only in population sizes gargantuan enough to support such nonsense. In America, the average diet is pretty poor with too large portions all around, including meat. But don't throw the baby out with the bath water (it's all about portion size control). Quote
