Mr._Chips Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Anybody have any predictions when ski season will "officially" be under way? You know, places along the Sea to Sky have enough snow to make a trip worthy. Seems like a mixed bag for snowfall accumulation predictions. Quote
Billygoat Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Are you talking about touring on permanent snowfields, glaciers or off the road and through he woods or on-piste? The beginnings of snow are here!!! Quote
Billygoat Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 So, Sea to Sky. Would that be from Squamish to Pemberton? Quote
Dru Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Its gonna be a Rockies winter with lots of ice and no snowpack Quote
Skisports Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 No No its going to be in the middle so the ice climbers are going to be happy and the skiers are going to be happy. And while we are at the temp needs to drop say 10 degrees so it freezes in seattle and everyone can learn how to drive Quote

Kevin_Ristau Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 On sunday there was a metre of snow at the top end of Red Heather meadows, about a 18 inches at the hut. Snow was falling heavily, but the freezing level is expected to rise for the next week or two. Quote
