kevbone Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 looks to me like she is reaching the anchor of a top rope I have done this climb a couple of times. Its the crags warm up for most climbers. She is right at the crux. Another 30 feet brings her to the anchor. 10.b. Great climb. Quote

counterfeitfake Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 She may as well get used to censure; she won't be allowed to breast feed just anywhere, you know!! What is it with breast feeding? I don't think I've heard on any other topic such wide ranging, yet dumb, opinions. Quote
minx Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Helmet might be nice. If the sperm donor would have worn a helmet, this conversation would not be taking place. that's lame. why do you assume this was an unplanned pregnancy? Quote

Peter_Puget Posted January 5, 2007 Author Posted January 5, 2007 Minx - . As I think I understand your argument: We both agree activity is a good thing. We both agree that activity should be limited during pregnancy. We disagree as to just where the limitation should lay. Our analytical process seems the same. Where we differ is simply in how risk adverse we are and on how we value the benefit. I agree it is a personal calculation (choice) based on an individual’s personal values. I would call it a good choice if (in this case) she accurately makes the calculation and a bad choice if she does not. Do you agree? Quote
joblo7 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 we all agre you should stfu until your sex change! how early a mother introduces her child to a healthy endorphin addiction is personal. Quote
minx Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 PP-- i've had no training in risk management so my analytical process is obviously different than yours. You're right though. It's all a matter of how we do the analysis. Quote

counterfeitfake Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 The other day I was listening to a radio interview with a guy who was saying that kids these days seem to be having a genuine problem differentiating opinions and facts. He said the phrase "That's my opinion" is running amok. Then he related a story where some students saw a debate, and afterward one said "That wasn't a debate- there was no yelling! They didn't get excited!" Stating your opinion forcefully and passionately is not the same as making an argument. Quote
