icyroop Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I am new to the Pacific Northwest specifically Seattle. I recently left the western slope of Colorado, so I should already be climbing ice!. Where can I find ice this time of year?? Hoping for a day trip or maybe a weekend. Please let me know. Quote
powderhound Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 You can go to Canada or Montana for consitent ice during the winter. Quote
chris Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Lillooet is the best concentration of local ice, and it won't be in for another month. At least. Quote
layton Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Didn't do much research before you moved, eh? Well you're pretty much fucked around these parts for a while. Buy all the guidebooks, read through thousands of times, and start trying/failing every weekend wherever you think is a route you want to do until you get your two-three route mazimum in...if you're lucky. Books: Beckey Guide 1,2,3. Nelson Select I+II. Washington Ice. Porltand Rock. West Coast Ice. Buy all of them. Quote
WageSlave Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Last winter there was a bunch of ice that formed out near Banks Lake. Not sure when it comes in. Quote

powderhound Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 in your mom's bed OHHHHH This has to be one of the worst tries at spray I have ever seen. You even included your own "OHHHH" like you are on the dumb MTV your mamma joke show. Spend some more time crusing the site and you'll figure out what real spray is like. Just a hint from someone who has been there. Quote
