Where is the ICE!???

I am new to the Pacific Northwest specifically Seattle. I recently left the western slope of Colorado, so I should already be climbing ice!. Where can I find ice this time of year?? Hoping for a day trip or maybe a weekend. Please let me know.

You can go to Canada or Montana for consitent ice during the winter.

Lillooet is the best concentration of local ice, and it won't be in for another month. At least.

Well you're pretty much fucked around these parts for a while.

Buy all the guidebooks, read through thousands of times, and start trying/failing every weekend wherever you think is a route you want to do until you get your two-three route mazimum in...if you're lucky.

 

Books: Beckey Guide 1,2,3. Nelson Select I+II. Washington Ice. Porltand Rock. West Coast Ice.

Buy all of them.
