Do you have pictures of Columbia Gorge Ice Climbs and wouldn't mind if they appeared in a slide show that will benefit the Access Fund?

Columbia Gorge Ice Climbs preferred but if you have any water ice (i.e. not crevasse/glacier/serac stuff) in OR/Southern WA (including the WI that comes in on the ridge left of the Elliot) let me know.

John, Why are you giving a slideshow of other people's climbs? Is this gonna be one of those "I'd like to do this one... this one hardly ever forms... boy, i wish I knew where this one was" slideshows? We had one of them a few years ago in Lillooet.

I totally agree Dru... and that's why I'm not giving a slide show... or at least not the traditional one. My idea is to have an unattended digital slide projector on a timer that just shows a pic of an ice climb in the gorge (or surrounding area) for like 5 seconds and then clicks to the next one... each photo will have the name of the route and the distance from PDX on it so if someone does see something cool they can take a mental note.

 

The projector will run on a loop during the festival while people do more fun and exciting things like demo new ice gear from Black Diamond, Petzl, Grivel, and DMM... try on Vasque and La Sportiva boots... drink free beer... and if they want enter the comp (or just watch it). And oh yeah... score free schwag and help out the access fund.

ps, Dru: do you want to get into the office pool? It's if you can do a standard 2 arm chin up. To be fair, I'm up to 3 now....that's doing them non-stop and all in a row too.
