Big_Lebowski Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Cuz I am wondering if I can get away with somethan less than that for this new season. Quote
spicoli11 Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I heard white russians will get you into good shape Quote
G-spotter Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 If you can pick up a bowling ball you can train for finger pockets. Quote
chesterboo Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Why don't you try Thermogenesis and just make sure you take it nice and slow with lots of rest breaks. Quote
G-spotter Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Hey Dude, would it make you uncomfortable to talk about climbing Mt. Johnson? Quote
Big_Lebowski Posted June 8, 2006 Author Posted June 8, 2006 Are you another eccentric artist, Man? I started training a bit by climbing in and out of bed a few times this morning, followed by a series of white russian curls. Quote
G-spotter Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 That's a name no one would self-apply where I come from. Maybe you should curl some of that good sarsaparilla. Quote
Big_Lebowski Posted June 10, 2006 Author Posted June 10, 2006 Maybe where you came from is something to be left behind, Man. Cuz you be harshin' on the newbies like regular. But, then you are the Patriarch of CC, so I guess it's OK. I should be honored and shit, Man. Quote
G-spotter Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Maybe if you train really hard you will be able to make it up a "Seattle Seven". Quote
IceIceBaby Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 If you could see me you will have your answer Quote
quazimoto Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 the british beefcake has a stomach more resembling a keg than a SIX PACK- and cranks well on hard stuff-just go have fun then go consume a six pack.. Quote
Otto Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Also, "this season" did not start just recently. It started back in February or so, indoors, then outdoors weather permitting. Yes, you have to work up to a season or you will waste a lot of good weather. Quote
haireball Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 no, but climbing is likely to improve whatever shape you're in. I've belayed more than my share of three-hundred-pound "dunlops" (as in dunlopped over my belt...), and they seemed to enjoy themselves. if you subscribe to the the legendary Alex Lowe's maxim that "the best climber is the one having the most fun", then I'd have to say that I've encountered a plethora of truly great pillsbury doughboy climbers over the years. For inspiration, research the names Mark Powell, and Don Whillans... Quote
SnowByrd Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Also, "this season" did not start just recently. It started back in February or so, indoors, then outdoors weather permitting. Yes, you have to work up to a season or you will waste a lot of good weather. Sounds like you're all likening climbing to football here "the season" and Quote
