Jens
I saw a picture of the new Simond caribiners in a magazine. The design looks awesome and way different than anything else out there. Anybody use em'? It's to bad that Simond gear is so hard to get around here. All in all they probably have a better line of gear than say black diamond. G-spotter
They aren't new. I have had some for 3 years. They aren't hard to get either. MEC has tons.

billcoe
33 gms, gate open strength 10kn for the Wild Country VS only 8kn for the Simond.
Blake
Jens, no offense, but... are you crazy? Simond's product line better than BD's???
cj001f
Simond's product line better than BD's??? Isn't BD just copying the entire Petzl/Charlet line?
Jens
Jens, no offense, but... are you crazy? Simond's product line better than BD's??? I'm serious.
slothrop
They look like a keylock that weighs a lot and has a low gate-open strength. Why do you like them so much, Jens? Personally, this is my favorite Simond carabiner:
EWolfe
The Helium looks sweeeeet! Maybe Jens has a lot of slung hexes and stoppers, and needs a smooth-nosed 'biner?
