olyclimber Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 We also had the women with us. I'm dead set on offending everyone who came on this trip. So its their turn. Bold Boldering: Of course he topped on in style: Ulee instructing me on how to tie a figger-8 while I step on the rope: Ulee climbs while Squid hits on some chick: You be the DJ, I'll be the rapper Swinging: Really attentive and close spot, aka wanting hands: Yeah Booooyyyy: Lil Maple: Clamshell Cave: Clamshell Crack: Clamshell Crack: Scoping out the next route: Sleeping with precious, precious fries. Weekend_Climberz Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 A picture is worth a thousand words! Looks like the munchkin had himself awesome day. Quote
ZONK Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Rusty the Dog says He would rather hang with the Kid. Because all he got was a bone at the end of the day and the little guy got fries ! Says He should have stayed with you ! Quote
olyclimber Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 was that Rusty who wanted a more stationary group of people to hang out with and sniff? Quote
archenemy Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 That kid is the cutest little human I have ever seen. Quote
ScottP Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 What is the name of that crag in the 4th picture? It looks like a good spot to take my kids this summer. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 What is the name of that crag in the 4th picture? It looks like a good spot to take my kids this summer. For some reason the name escapes me right now...but it is in Tumwater right before L'worth. That climb is a 5.8 (I think it is 3 pitches), and there is a 5.9 and then a 5.11a just to the left. In the guidebook there is a picture of Pauline on the 5.11, and she looks like she is not having a tough time with it. Short but steep hike to get up there with kids, but Ulee didn't complain too much about it. Quote
Alpinfox Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 What is the name of that crag in the 4th picture? It looks like a good spot to take my kids this summer. Clem's Holler. Just west of Tumwater Buttress. Quote
ZONK Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Yeah that was Rusty he is a Old Dog and wanted a break. He likes to just watch most of the time, I tried to get him to follow me up Red Tide but he was not into it that day, to bad after laps at Special Spot and Clems he was tired. Sorry about the turds on the way over to Special Spot if anyone ran into them. Quote
Alpinfox Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Short but steep hike to get up there with kids, but Ulee didn't complain too much about it. Ulee's description of the approach: "This hike is as long as a hundred spaceships!" Quote
ZONK Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Oh and the route is called Playin' Possum that You cant recall at this time. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 It should be noted that my dementor Alpinfox attended this function. Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I think Uli needs to learn to clarify his units of measure. Clearly 100 imperial starships is a lot further than 100 tie fighters. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 I can't believe I forgot the rubber chicken. So basically, all those climbs were "chickenless ascents". sick. Quote
knotzen Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Squid actually exists? I thought he was, like, a cartoon character. Quote
Alpinfox Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Hey! What happened to TURBO!?! Reticence Required Removal. But the good news is that there is a higher percentage of pictures of me now. Quote
Squid Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I would like to point out how much resembles I shall call him...minisquid. Quote
olyclimber Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 Squid actually exists? I thought he was, like, a cartoon character. Squid is a mythical beast, and is more powerful than a lyger. However, I don't know how he'd do against a bear. Quote
