Jens Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Cool, maybe everyone will play the State of the Union Speech drinking game before they show up. That will make for an interesting pub club! Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Wedgewood Alehouse: a great neighborhood place They can pull a great glass of Guiness! Good food, too. [17 Jul 2003 17:35:11] Food: **** Service: **** Ambiance: *** Overall: *** Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I might be in the area around that time. I Might show up and talk about doing some skiing this weekend. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 For me unfortunately, I feel more like this so far this year. [pseudo image]skier crashing into tree[/pseudo image] Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Sometimes you get the prize. Let's talk happy thoughts. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Ohhhh! where did that panorama go! Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 The guidebook I'll bring tonight is to the Coast Mountains, however. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 What about Vancouver Island. I was thinking that they are probably getting the brunt of this weather system cycle. I have never been there and no little about it, but from the looks of some of the window tourist sites it looks like there's a lifetime to do there. Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Skiing, climbing and politics offered up plenty of topics for discussion. ChucK's bouldering wall, it turns out, has become the smoking area outside the Wedgewood Ale House. Archenemy brought a dead Snaffle. ChucK mades his first 2006 appearance. Dougiefresh put some faces to avatars. DoubleE was recruting skiers. GaryYngve and Jens made a plan. Jim and I talked about the Coast Mountains. Ketch brought news from Orcas Island. Klenke said that GW has been doing right by the Sunni's in Iraq, and ToTheTop said that running up and down Mt. Rainer isn't really climbing. We all admired the photos of Pax in the new Whitelaw guidebook and gave GWB and "A" for effort. Quote
klenke Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 "Klenke said that GW has been doing right by the Sunni's in Iraq." When did I say that? I didn't say that. Archenemy brought a dead snaffle? Was that what ToTheTop was dining on when I arrived? Quote
chucK Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 The Wedgewood Ale House was great! We should have it there every time (or perhaps alternate between there and the Wedgewood Broiler). Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Sadly I must have contributed nothing to the night . I think it was Chuck supporting GWs actions with the Sunnis, but I could also be wrong. Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I din't want to embarass you by reporting that you admitted to being a Boarder, Mr. Trog. Next time I'll just spell it out. Quote

I don't think I gave any credit to GWB, but it does seem like maybe something is being done right over there link Quote
mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Admit it. You said you worship the ground he walks on and admire him for his decisive leadership. Quote

mattp Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Right on. Get some poles and you can come out and flail - errr I mean rip it up - with the rest of us. Quote
Geek_the_Greek Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I was forgotten too... ...but I left early, so it's understandable. Nice chatting with Trog, Ketch, Matt (little bit) and Dougie, and of course GY. I can't believe I missed an opportunity to meet the legendary Archenenemy, but that was the other side of the table. Maybe next time. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Sorry I couldn't make it, unfortunately I was doing battle with a bird who found it's way into my living room. I think one of my pet 's must have dragged it into the house to play with only to discover that the little sucker could fly. It sounded like another great Pub Club. Quote
