If it involves civil discourse, and no threats of violence, what is wrong with using the ignore feature. Are you all a bunch of bored baby cube-rats? Frigging grow up. Rather than 'ignore' a particular user, they will try to control that person, bring them around to "their way of thinking" under the ruse of discourse. This can persist to the point of blow-up.
