DanielHarro Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 Here is my stolen car story- Well I parked my car next to good Sam Hospital at 3:45pm and went for a 45min run up a Forest Park and by the time I got back my car was gone. So in 45min they stole it. Pretty crappy deal Here is the good news my car has been found!!!!! Except that there is a couple of broken windows and EVERYTHING inside is totally thrashed!!!! Plus they took everthing I had and replaced it with a bunch of trash and garbage!! I am going to meet with the insurance adjuster today and all I can say is that I am glad that I have full coverage issurance!!!!!! Anyways that is the story thus far.... Quote

larrythellama Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 for comprehensive to cover stolen property in your vehicle, it needs to securely attached to the vehicle. all personal property will have to be claimed under homeowners/renters insurance. Quote
DanielHarro Posted January 5, 2006 Author Posted January 5, 2006 Just got my checks last week, $3,600.00 for the car and $7,000.00 for what was inside for the car. Thank goodness for homeowners and car insurance!! Quote
magellan Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 The two insurance companies I've dealt with in the last year have handed out money like candy. I think I'm pretty reasonable, but I almost felt guilty taking the money. I bet that a new computer will make me feel better. Quote
Arc Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ok Ok, we will look for the bloody vehicle on I-5 or something. Quote
chelle Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Just got my checks last week, $3,600.00 for the car and $7,000.00 for what was inside for the car. Thank goodness for homeowners and car insurance!! Who's your insurance company? When my bike was stolen last year State Farm made me front the money to buy the replacement then gave me a check less my $500 deductible. That was pretty crappy IMO. Quote
DanielHarro Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 Horace Mann, It took forever to see any money. But I guess that is typical. They have a branch in Alaska (where I live when I am not in school) so thats why I have them. Quote
