pope Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 How did I miss this one? Splendid stuff from a post on Ascensionist titled "INDEX IN THE YEAR 2020": This is Dana's Arch. The via ferrata will protect the crack from damage by aid climbers. Quote
tomtom Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Like you, Dana's arch swings the other way. Quote
pope Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 TomTom? Sounds like a name you might read in the stall down at the Rebar. Quote
ChrisG Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I suppose if youre all about bolting for safety its hard to argue with installing a ladder for safety. Quote
pope Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Right!!! Safety, increased access, more traffic, cleaner rock, no more pin scars....virtually every lame pro-bolting argument completely supports (with no modification) the via ferrata. And if you object to these things, just remember not to be so small-minded: more destructive activities (ski areas, logging, etc.) justify low-impact activities like sport climbing and constructing the via ferrata. EWolfe Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Your monotonous blatherings are tiresome. Do you have anything to be besides the judge? Quote

Oh right, i forgot, even an old pompous, used to be a badO guide, but is now worn out, ass like Dwanus can climb 5.13 using new techniques Quote
archenemy Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Oh look--a bolting debate Bolt the earth. Quote
selkirk Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Can we bolt pope? Give DFA the shot at the FA? I imagine with all those bulges and slopers it could be challenging. Quote
