charlesclaassen
Climb: Colonial/Stump/Pyramid in a day- Date of Climb: 10/23/2005 Trip Report: Left the house at 5:30, reached Colonial glacier at 7:40, summited Colonial via West ridge at 8:50, Stump at 10:30, back down the south ridge and around to Pyramid by 12:15. After lunch, made it back to the house at 4:45. Gear Notes: Wearing plastic bread sacks over my socks under my approach shoes because I was expecting more snow but wanted to go fast on the trail. Ran out of water. Approach Notes: Colonial glacier is still completely bare.

charlesclaassen
No new snow, a few patches left from a couple weeks ago. And I live at the top of the dam. That's my front yard.

klenke
Describe the difficulties climbing up PBS. It has the look of steepness from a distance but I suspect it's not that bad. Thanks.
Alpine_Tom
Cool! I've wanted to do that string of peaks for a while now. But I'm an out-of-towner, so I might have to wimp out and do it in two days.
Kyle_Flick
Klenke, It's a generally a hike up it until the last steep part of the headwall which is 4th class. You can bypass it to the left side and summit on the short exposed ridge which is the way we descended.
charlesclaassen
Yep, it's a walk up. Still fun, though. Eventually, I'd like to figure Pinnacle in there too.
MisterMo
Jesus is that fast. It takes me as long as your whole day just to drag my aging fat ass up there. It's the bread sacks, right? I'm going to have to try bread sacks.
