charlesclaassen Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 No new snow, a few patches left from a couple weeks ago. And I live at the top of the dam. That's my front yard. Quote
knotzen Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 You're a chef at the NCI, and you live right there, at Diablo?!? I'm going to have to kidnap you and assume your identity. Quote
klenke Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Describe the difficulties climbing up PBS. It has the look of steepness from a distance but I suspect it's not that bad. Thanks. Quote
Alpine_Tom Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Cool! I've wanted to do that string of peaks for a while now. But I'm an out-of-towner, so I might have to wimp out and do it in two days. Quote
Kyle_Flick Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Klenke, It's a generally a hike up it until the last steep part of the headwall which is 4th class. You can bypass it to the left side and summit on the short exposed ridge which is the way we descended. Quote
charlesclaassen Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Yep, it's a walk up. Still fun, though. Eventually, I'd like to figure Pinnacle in there too. Quote
MisterMo Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Jesus is that fast. It takes me as long as your whole day just to drag my aging fat ass up there. It's the bread sacks, right? I'm going to have to try bread sacks. Quote
Skeezix Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 You can traverse over to Bouck Lake from up there. Oops --too much snow now. Quote
