Server Slowness

Man, this site has been slooooooww for me the last couple of days. Anybody else?

 

I have broadband, and all the other places I visit pop up fast, but every thread here takes about 30 seconds to load.

Our host is having some problems after the power outage.

Hopefully they'll add a math coprocessor to the CPU and hit the turbo button soon. Also, they might want to disable the screensaver and defrag the HD.

Didn't the host have power back-ups or any of that high tech stuff to keep the internet running? What are the hosting fees going for anyway?

they're busy looking for independent verifiers of the server speed record.

Apparently their power backup didn't kick in at first so their whole network went down. Of course that doesn't matter if there is no outside connection to connect to.

Shit you have no idea what slow is until you come out to Rwanda. I have the fastest connection there is here, and it is unbelievably expensive and it is slower than the slowest land line I have seen in the states. It's beyond bad.
