Dru Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4730061.stm Let's have a contest to name it! There's already a Uranus so I propose to name it "Horsecock" Quote
olyclimber Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Silly, they only name them after Disney characters, like "Pluto". I would name it "X", because it would be much easier to spell. Quote
klenke Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Reading the article, it appears they only saw the "object" once in October 2003. They didn't see the object in the same part of space in January 2005 (the next time they looked there). So this is proof of a new planet? Sorry, too easy. You'd have to observe it more than once and at least three times in different parts of the sky for it to be real (or something definable), IMO. Quote
Clampooner Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Let's just save a few years of litigation and call it "Starbucks" Quote
