cj001f Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 aka "Premier de Cordee" made for TV drama tied to Chamonix guides in the 30's. Awesome shots of the Alps. On the International Channel in the states. Check it out! Quote
Dr_Crash Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Interesting choice of words to translate "premier de cordée" (rope leader). Great book by Frison-Roche that I am, by coincidence, currently reading. drC Quote
cj001f Posted February 7, 2005 Author Posted February 7, 2005 Interesting choice of words to translate "premier de cordée" (rope leader). Almost as interesting as TV guide saying it was about the race to be the first to climb mount blanc and I tune in to see airplanes on the screen Quote
Dr_Crash Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Hmmm... So it's got nothing to do with the Frison-Roche novel then. That one is about the son of a guide who dies lightning struck while climbing the Dru (pushed by an obnoxious American client ;-) who didn't want to turn back when the storm started), and that son's calling to be a guide himself and... read the book drC Quote

Actually looked decent. Quote
