ladyrose42 Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 (edited) Hi, I live in North Idaho and I wanted to get to know some more outdoor oriented people my age. If anyone would like to respond, I think that would be great! Have a great day! Edited January 6, 2005 by ladyrose42 Quote
sobo Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 Welcome! There's hordes of 'em in Spokane and those environs. You should be hearing from them soon. Quote
NYC007 Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 what sort of activities are you into??? where in N Idaho Quote
kurthicks Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 yeah, give us the info. I've got lots of free time potential this winter if you've got some good ideas. Quote
ladyrose42 Posted January 6, 2005 Author Posted January 6, 2005 (edited) I am located in CDA. I am into all kinds of activities. I really enjoy the outdoors. If you want a list of things that I have done or can do: Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, and more. Right now I am focusing on telemarking, and am entertaining the idea of starting to climb/mountaineer. I am open to any new activities, I just don't know many people who are outdoorsy so my activities tend to limit themselves fast. If I get into an activity and really enjoy it, I really like to go hard core. Edited January 6, 2005 by ladyrose42 Quote
NYC007 Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 The Spokane/CDA area has a fairly large outdoor community, its just hard to meet or get in. Summitpost.org is another good site. So are you looking to find partners to Tele with mostly? Quote
ladyrose42 Posted January 7, 2005 Author Posted January 7, 2005 No, I am looking for persons who want to go adventure seeking. Anything from whitewater rafting, to telemarking, to possibly climbing Mt. Raineer. I just want to make some friends who want to challenge/enjoy the outdoors with me. So why is it so hard to find people? Or get in the with the crowd? Quote
pu Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 It's not hard. Consider joining the Spokane Mountaineers. NYC007 is a member, he can give you all sorts of beta. Quote
MCash Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Yeah right. He hasn't paid his dues in like 2 years. An outcast. Quote
ladyrose42 Posted January 8, 2005 Author Posted January 8, 2005 I have tried several times to get information on how to join and have tried to call and talk to someone who knows more, but all they did was reffer me to the web site for the Spokane Mountaineers. Most of the information is outdated. Anyhow, thanx for the suggestion, I will keep trying. However, my offer to meet/talk with people still stands. Quote

Roadstead1 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 (edited) Yeah right. He hasn't paid his dues in like 2 years. An outcast. If two years makes you a outcast, then 25 years must make me a Lepra! Being a member dose't make you a good climber! My edited remark was uncalled for. Edited January 22, 2005 by Roadstead1 Quote
