I am looking into getting some pocket rockets. A friend of mine mentioned a possible problem with getting skins to fit properly around the tips. Any experience/wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated. grin.gif

Fitting skins on the Pocket Rockets shouldn't be an issue as long as you get the proper attachment...using skins with the clips (as opposed to metal bars) on either end might prove to be most beneficial.

i think both bd and g3 are making bigger loops now for the tips of fat skis. you will probably have to order them specifically or perhaps even separately. adjustable tails (like the g3 or the bd with the tail system) will be helpful for getting a good fit so that they will stay on, but it's not a big deal if they slide off ...

you can get the special tips if you want, but i have jaks, which are bigger than the pr's and the metal clip has worked fine for a few seasons now. look over at telemarktips.com for a whole slough of ways to make skins stay on a twintip ski.
