ILuvAliens Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 (edited) I am looking into getting some pocket rockets. A friend of mine mentioned a possible problem with getting skins to fit properly around the tips. Any experience/wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated. Edited November 21, 2004 by Ade Quote
Ryan Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Fitting skins on the Pocket Rockets shouldn't be an issue as long as you get the proper attachment...using skins with the clips (as opposed to metal bars) on either end might prove to be most beneficial. Quote
ILuvAliens Posted November 17, 2004 Author Posted November 17, 2004 Why would you put skins on a stove? Â Because they are DPS's and you want to get him back for not contributing to your thread. Â Quote
DPS Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Sorry, that was my first thought though. Apparently pocket rockets are some type of ski as well? Quote
thelawgoddess Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 salomon pocket rockets ... for backcountry poweder jibbing. Â i think both bd and g3 are making bigger loops now for the tips of fat skis. you will probably have to order them specifically or perhaps even separately. adjustable tails (like the g3 or the bd with the tail system) will be helpful for getting a good fit so that they will stay on, but it's not a big deal if they slide off ... james_e Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 i have rossi scratch bc's and had to get the special tips from g3. they only cost a few bucks and you can get them at marmot mountain works i think. Quote
bDubyaH Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 you can get the special tips if you want, but i have jaks, which are bigger than the pr's and the metal clip has worked fine for a few seasons now. look over at telemarktips.com for a whole slough of ways to make skins stay on a twintip ski.
