gapertimmy Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 I'm going to be adding a replacement feature for the chat that is stand alone, not integrated with the board whatsoever. Do people (besides allison) even care, or would anyone use this? Basically our web server can host jabber instant messenger, and you can download an IM client that hosts all of your IM contacts (AOL, MSN, YAHOO, IRC) and you can chat wit dem all from one spot. feedback 'preciated Quote

allison Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 So we can have any of those chatter programs and be able to link into this board somehow? I have ICQ but I hate it because it's so public, strangers always want to chat it up, and I just got IRC downloaded. Seems friendly enuf. Will we all be in one chatroom like the old chatter? BTW this is not feedback, just questions. Quote
sk Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 You know I'll use it as long as it is not to complicated....life is complicated enough without adding to it Timm@y: please make it so that even my blond self can use it Quote

Stefan Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 I do chat. I like it. Whatever to keep it running gets my thumbs up. Quote
gapertimmy Posted September 21, 2002 Author Posted September 21, 2002 yeah the chat will be somewhat integrated with the site, but will allow you to use your MSN, AOL, IRC at the same time, which IMHO is pretty sweet. i'm working on setting this up right now and will make an allison proof dummy document.
