All my excitment over MSP's show inspired me to look up TGR's tour schedule. You can find it at www.tetongravity.com. Soul Purpose is only getting to make one stop in the PNW, 3 November, at the Showbox in Seattle. YEAH!!!!!!

should be good time, and in a killer venue like the showbox, it should be awesome. how much is it?

poster says $12 adv/$13 door. i think it's a good idea to have the "after" party in the same venue.

yeah; a little pricey perhaps, but it's not such a stretch from the cost of a regular movie these days. sometimes it helps to think of your entertainment in terms of cost per hour and determine if it's worth it to you from there.

 

getting into the movie ... $12.

some drinks ... $20.

fun with friends and wintertime stoke ... priceless.

TR: "Soul Purpose," 11/3 @ Mt. Showbox, Seattle:

 

Inclement cold did little to wither the surprisingly long approach to theater -- nearly 40 minutes sidewalk loitering. $12 fare was charged & got a t-shirt from "evogear.com" (?). Around 8:45 a great deal of shwag was thrown into audience, and some randomly raffled, main goodies being pair of Rossi B3's, a couple NFace backpacks and many assorted NFace & TGR shirts & hoodies.

 

Film started around 9:00-ish, til 10:15-ish. w00t!/stoke!/powder-porn! factor was high, say 8.5/10.

 

Sick chutes, chest-deep powder, a great many aerials w/ reverse landings, but only a few of the obligatory ragdoll yardsales, which bummed me cause I enjoy them (guess since that's what happens to me when i try most of this sheeit).

nice tr! i was able to bypass the unbelievably long line outside and start up on the red bull and vodka sooner than most folks. i actually missed a good deal of the movie due to catching up with old (and meeting new) friends. i thought tgr (with the help of evogear and the summit) put on a pretty good movie-watching party, and i am really looking forward to the ski season!

Nice reports. I was all scheduled to going with my friends from the TGR board (of course...) until some dumb ass decided to slide her SUV sideways just feet in front of my Miata in the post-midnights hours of Tuesday (then Wednesday) night, and hmm, let's say that night was very long and I was not in shape to go to the movies.

 

So for all you SUV drivers here: if you drive like an ass in a tight freeway onramp (from 405 S to 520 E for example), remember that physics will catch up with you when you'll switch that driving wheel around to get on the freeway.

Also, the "fashion show" afterwards was great.

 

The movie itself was good, but never built to the end like last years'.
