marylou Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 I am printing some pictures, and one of them is too washed out. I'd like to intensify the colors (specifically the yellows) in P-shop. Can someone tell me how to do it? I can barely do anything in P-shop, because I am a stupid woman. Quote
chucK Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Image -> adjust -> color balance ? something like that. give it a try Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 insert floppy startup disk go to start then hit reboot after it reboots to dos in the black window type in "format /q /v:VOL c:" and hit enter. If prompted keep hitting enter or yes remove floppy and reboot Quote
iain Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 depends what version of photoshop it is. If it is fairly recent, you can apply an adjustment layer (Layers -> Adjustment Layers -> Hue/Saturation) and do a lot of tweaking, or you can just apply to the entire image (Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation) Quote
Crackbolter Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 If you have 7.0 you can do the following: Image-->Adjustments-->Color Balance Also try to work with the brightness since you are working on a brightening the image by color. Quote
jon Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 For a Mac: Start Photoshop. Go to Image -> Adjustments -> Color Balance. For a PC: Start Photoshop -> DLL error -> Reboot -> Start Photoshop -> Open file -> File is corrupted, WTF? -> Close Photoshop -> Open Photoshop -> Are you files are belong to us! Down with United States! -> Blue Screen of Death! -> Swear like crazy. -> Grab monitor, throw it through the window! -> Take the case and bash it with an axe! -> Fuck you Michael and Bill! -> Shot of Tequila -> Have a smoke -> Fuck it have 5 smokes you just threw a monitor out your window and the landlord is going to be pissed -> Go down to U Village Apple Store and by a real computer. klenke Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 I thought that was quite witty there, Cavey. Quote
arlen Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Color Balance is good when the original subject was under odd lighting, but most times Hue/Saturation is best for bringing out color contrast. Make sure you check and uncheck the preview checkbox to compare changed and unchanged. And try Image > Adjustments > Levels, moving the middle slider to the right if the image is too bright. check and uncheck, making sure there are no areas of solid color on screen, and then on the precious photo paper printout. The places to look are areas that are similar in color, like a snowfield. Don't save over the original! Quote
