Dave_Schuldt Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Dear MoveOn member, Last winter, MoveOn members gathered in living rooms across the country to help launch Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War, the documentary film which clearly and powerfully shows how the Bush administration mislead the American public into this failed war on Iraq. Remarkably, Uncovered has been such a success on DVD, it's now on the big screen in your area. The new theatrical version includes an exclusive interview with UN weapons inspector David Kay and a section on the media's role in the build up to war. Uncovered is now playing at: Harvard Exit 807 East Roy Seattle, WA 98102 Showtimes: (206) 781-5755 x4 The theatrical version is not to be missed. And bringing friends and family is a great way to mobilize them. Thanks for bringing Uncovered into the world. Now let's use the film to spread the whole truth about the Iraq War. Sincerely, --Wes Boyd MoveOn.org September 15th, 2004 P.S. Robert Greenwald, the director of Uncovered and Outfoxed, sends this note to MoveOn members: I wanted to send a note to all of you MoveOn members who have done such an amazing job in organizing house parties, getting DVDs and in general spreading the message of Uncovered and Outfoxed wide and far. You are truly amazing! Every single day that myself and the terrific team worked on these films, it made all the difference in the world to our passion, commitment and workload knowing you all would be taking the film and using it as an educational and political tool throughout the country. Now we find ourselves with this unique opportunity with both films going into theaters throughout the country. In the many screenings that I've been to, we've had vibrant and vital discussions, plannings and strategy sessions after the films with you, the MoveOn members, coming up with inspired ideas about new ways to use the films to create change. Thank you for that, and I know that as the film plays in a theater near you, you will be equally imaginative and innovative in using the local malls, chains and independent theaters as further launching pads for change. We have been given this terrific opportunity thanks to all of your hard work. With great appreciation and respect, Robert Greenwald Quote
cracked Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Do you feel 'truly amazing', Dave? And "educational and political tool". Is that the description of MoveOn members? These people are in the same category of self-righteous fucks that stand outside public buildings and try to force their beliefs on anyone who walks by. When they try to "be equally imaginative and innovative in using the local malls, chains and independent theaters as further launching pads for change" they'll do nothing but piss off the people they're trying to enlighten. Eat a , MoveOn. The 'documentaries' of the left do nothing but drive me closer to voting for Bush. Quote
Jim Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Instead of spouting the partly line extend your limited horizons a bit and go see the film. Then critque. Quote
Lionel_Hutz Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 it must be a good movie. the back of the case has quotes of praise from foreign policy luminaries like moby. i also like the praise from scott ritter... his praise indicates that he must have been really impressed with his own appearance in the film. interesting stuff, but nothing really new if yer paying attention Quote
Dru Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Isn't this DVD to Big Screen reverse marketting the same method that the Christians used to get Veggie Tales in to general distribution? Sounds like the Left is learning from the right. Quote
gotterdamerung Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 (edited) This is what happens at those parties they put together. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/images/dap6.jpg Edited September 17, 2004 by iceguy Quote
graupel Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 neocon movie reviewers Outfoxed is good, this other one probably would be too. You can't critique it if you don't see it for yourself. Quote
gotterdamerung Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Sure I can. More shit from the liberals. It's just shit digested differently than the way the NeoCons digest shit. Anyway you look at it...it's shit. Quote
